After owning a 2009 AR230 since 2019 the wife decided that she wanted a newer boat. Loved the 230 and hated to sell it but it went to a good home and we’ll probably see it out on the water. We decided after sitting in a 22ft at a boat show that we wanted a 25ft. We had a budget and wanted to stick with it. We ended up finding this 2025 AR250 with 20hrs on a brand new aluminum trailer that’s never been in the water. We were looking at older models on galvanized trailers with a lot more hours for the same $$ but came across this one, made a deal and had to drive 9hrs one way to pick it up. Trim tabs, sea deck, tower speakers and keel guard are already on order. Need to get transom straps, spare trailer tire and a few other things for the boat & trailer.

That's a great find! Love the aluminum trailer. Sounds like you got several projects to keep you busy until next summer.

That's pretty tight on the sides but looks great! Looks like you can leave the tower up. I have a similar setup without the gussets but have to lay down the tower. Not enough height.

More fishing and catching from the stern steps of Fishercat. After losing 3 lures to the toothy Northern Pike this past weekend, I changed my 12# monofilament line to 50# braid with a 20# fluorocarbon leader. Used a gold mepps #4 spinner. 28".

If mine didn’t fit due to height I was planning on putting the carport on a block wall to raise it heigh enough. As far as width, it’s 12’ wide and accommodates the boat with enough room. Like every shed/shop, they’re never big enough.

I was going to build a shed and just do like a small 8x11. Enough to fit the jetskis and my lawn equipment. My buddy talked me in to building the biggest shed I could fit which was a 12x20. Was the best idea he's ever had.

Been trying to balance our time on the boat and time spent in the garden. Well the weeds will show how that worked out. But I have been digging potatoes the last couple of days, about 20' of 200' total and they are looking pretty good under the straw and weeds.
Baking potatoes, got some big ones this year. Still gotta dig the reds, Yukon golds and purples. May be some fingerlings too.

Worked on my first Sea Doo Doo switch today. I can see why the resale value is horrible on these things. This one is a 2023 and it is aging like a lawn that never gets water or rain.
The body is cheap plastic and doesn't clean well. Nothing shiny at all. The interior is cheap and basic.

I get the modular concept but these are ridiculous.

You drive it like a jetski have to hold the throttle on the handlebars the whole time. And that can definitely be finger numbing after a while.

I am sorry its a total waste of money. No wonder why there are so many used ones on the market. My local dealer sold them(or tried to) for 2 season and told Sea doo they were done.

They still use the failing carbon ring to keep water out. So you cant run them out of the water much longet than a minute or you will burn up the carbon ring.
And the engine will overheat because the ride plate cools the antifreeze

If BRP makes these in another 5 years i will really be surprised.

This one sold last year for almost 20k off new msrp

That sucks. I’ve only ever seen one up close in the wild and they do look rather disposable. The finger throttle is crazy for a boat.

I hope sea doo doesn't get their act together. I had 4 sea doos with leaking carbon rings in the last week and a half.
One customer locked up his engine and insurance only payed 13k with the trailer. To replace it with a similar new model with trailer will cost 25k

Don't buy a Sink Doo, you will reget it some day.

One of our neighbors bought one after he saw my boat - because of the weeds everywhere, and I suspect it was because they wanted a boat, but were sinking all their spare cash into fixing up the damn-near-condemned house they bought for a good price, apparently. I like the theory behind the modular stuff, but my first thought when I saw one in the wild was "Yugo started making boats"
