Ok y'all, I’ve got the surfpoint System down for the most part on my 255XD.

The 255 does an ok job with a wave when surfing but it does a much better job with a FatSac on the transom. BUT… my issue I’m having is with the extra weight of the FatSac, the surfpoint system has a hard time hitting the dialed in speed.
I have it set for 11.2 for my son and it flounders around 9/10 and the wave is shit at that speed. I increase it with the cruise control, but the rpm’s just won’t increase to get the speed commanded. I’ll even set it to 14 as a desired speed hoping it will accelerate and I can cruise control it down ever so slight slightly. But nope.
I’ve even changed the acceleration rate to manual hoping to get to the speed fast quicker. But it doesn’t do much at all to help.

is there a way to deploy the surf point, ballast bags and just do the speed manually?

any help guys?!!!

On my 2024 222XD I've noticed the surf wave takes forever to clean up compared to my manual setup on my old 2019 212X (Wakeboost, 750# fatsac, stock ballasts full). And yes, there are numerous times that I cannot get the 222XD up to my input speed (10.1 mph I believe). If I have 5-6 folks in the boat, I have them all move to the bow so the boat can "plane out". Then they reposition appropriately.

U have too much weight in the back, the boat don't have enough power to get up on the water. Add like 350lbs up in the bow when u use the 800lb fatsac.

I usually will have my cruise set to 13-14 then trim it down after I'm up and away and the wave forms and cleans up.

I run 100-100-35 (non surfside) on the stock ballast. 350lbs in bow, 2 people on boat plus driver I use a GPS app on my phone to track true speed to the tenth. 10.2 to 10.8 is my sweet spot.

@Wicked92

Thanks... Sounds like the bow route is the way to go. I'll try it out this weekend hopefully and let y'all know how that goez.

appreciate ya.

Thanks for this information, that’s an amazing wave and I hope I can replicate it.

What do you mean by trim? And what other ballast sacs do you have other than stock?

My weights and where I put them are up above.

Trim....I have to trim my speed control from 13-14 to get up and going and have the wave form. The extra weight you add above and beyond factory puts stress on the very poorly implemented cruise control for water sports. If you set it at 11mph with all the added weight....good luck! You will be stuck at 8 or 9mph and a mess behind the boat. You need to get up to a faster speed, and then trim it off with the +/- on the no wake.

I've played with a shaper but it can be counter intuitive. The drag on that side causes you to counter steer and points the jets right into your wave. I bought an adjustable angle one and have had success with it delaying convergence more when I lessen the angle.

So, when do you turn the jets turn? In that picture you posted above, you only had factory ballast, an 800-pound Fat Sac on the Bow or the rear of the boat? and two total people

2 People on boat. 300-350lbs in bow, 850lb fat sac on surf side. 100-100-35 (non surf side) factory ballast. 10.5 to 10.8 mph gps app verified. Do not go by the factory mph that only reports whole numbers.

Awesome. So you had around 2950 pounds on the boat. Ill try that weight and with the a accurait speed app.

Do you know the pitch and roll your boat was at?
