Is this normal? The vectors can contact bottom of swim platform and ladder. Will they come up this much under speed?

Have they contacted the areas you mentioned? Or is it just that they can?

If you installed them properly Im sure they will not be contacting those area’s.

Did Yamaha try to come after you, or is there some agreement with them, with their steering setup coming with an identical tie rod?

These are simple questions to try to understand how you managed to patent a collection of parts, and to see what your invention is comprised of.

When anyone questions you in any small manner, why does the fallback response from you invariably involve veiled threats such as this?

For someone who has come up with a great product, you would think that would be reward in and of itself, and would have a ready answer for how things apply to your products. Instead, you revert to threats such as above, legal action for others, and all of this over what amounts to bolts and threaded connections. You haven't patented the tie-rod. You've patented your "rudder" and the method in which it's kept in place. Are you also going to tell us you've patented the screws that keep everything connected?

Your attempt to bully people, and suggesting that now I too should "be careful", are not how reasonable people act when touting their whizbang products - they direct the focus to their product. Your product is the well-operating Cobra Jet Steering fins.

You have as much claim to patenting a tie rod as McMaster-Carr

Not to mention the thread was started for assistance on a Thrust Vector product, not to bash any of JetBoat Pilots products. To the OP, please contact Will at JBP, as he has addressed this when it has come up.

Jeff, your bashing comments are not needed every time someone asks for assistance on a JBP product. You make a fine product, don't make yourself look bad by taking the low road every time. You are better than that.

Tough to make out much with black on black and the angle with the light washing out your photo. There have been reports of improper installation where this has happened. Not sure what we're seeing just yet, but @JetBoatPilot would be the one to contact. We can try to help you with some more info and better pics. See the questions @FSH 210 Sport posted - those are important in trying to see if you've actually got an issue.

I don’t have any of these steering enhancers on my boat but watching this install video with better lighting and knowing how the TV’s operate, the little flats on the bottom bring the TV up using water flow, there isn’t anything that is going to drive them up high enough to come in contact with the boat itself.

I would give JBP a call and express your concerns and I’m pretty sure they will tell you the same.

There are a lot of positive comments on that YouTube install vid and JBP seems responsive there..
