Towing Vehicle is Down

I have my $100 deposit down on a Lighting. I told my wife we'll keep the '19 Ram Limited for long tows, sell the car, and she can drive the electric truck everywhere. Unless I want to go rip around in it. Also, towing the boat within 30 miles (which is 90% of our boating) for nothing but the cost of electric, is pretty freak'n sweet.

Kind of like living the dream - own two half ton pick ups, only pay for gas in one.

A deposit is tempting. If truck prices stayed where they are at now, I have 30k equity in my truck, plus $7500 in rebates from the government..... That would be nearly 40k towards the Lightning.

Exactly - and if they pass additional rebates, those .gov dollars could double. Also, did anyone read the stats / features? Built in trailer scale for towing range. A full "frunk" you can fit two large coolers into. Backup power for your house. 0-60mph in 4 seconds? That's faster than my 2018 392 Charger!

If nothing else, demand will be so high that one could buy, take the tax credits, and flip the truck for MSRP+, and pocket the difference.

I have a deposit on one as well, for what that is worth. We will see.

I think the tax man frowns upon this lol.

Yo - what’s up Evil. You still cruising that skinny water up there?
Yeah, thats all I have is this mud hole but its only 8 minuets away. Glad to see your still out there

F the tax man. :) As far as I can tell there's no law that states you have to keep a vehicle for a certain period of time. Also, credit goes to the original owner, so why not. Government cheats us everyday, f them.

Final follow on this. Ford Protect warranty sent the funds to the dealership and I picked up the check yesterday. Reimbursed me for I spent less $100 warranty deductible.
