Hey folks,
Looking for ideas on having a fun trip out to the coast for me & my 2 boys (8 & 9) to have a little adventure before school kicks back into gear the week after (and to give mama a little bit of peace and quiet). We're considering everything from camping on Shackleford Island to renting a boat thru boatsetter or maybe seeing if any members here might be interested in letting 3 stowaways tag along to share some local adventures at islands/sandbars/fishing/etc. Be happy to throw some cash in for gas/time, and we have all our own gear (life vests/fishing gear/etc). We're looking at buying a place at the coast and leaning towards a 230, 240, or 242 and would appreciate seeing the area from a local's perspective.
Area's we're considering are North Charleston to Shackleford Island since those are all b/w 3.5-4.5 hours from us in Charlotte, NC. If anyone has any advice on where to go/what to do if we go the boat rental route I'd love to hear it....or if anyone would care to meet up for a day on the water, feel free to message me directly. Thanks in advance!
