I could have sworn we had a thread on this, but my googling skills are failing me if we do!

So what are you watching?

We've been trying a bunch of different shows since we cut the cord:

Really Like:
  • Ozark
  • Breaking Bad
  • Travelers (started slow)
  • Game of Thrones
Didn't get pulled into, or watch intermittently:
  • Lost in Space
  • The Last Kingdom
  • ZNation
  • Man in the High Castle
Daughter still is glued to Grey's Anatomy

So what amazing shows are we missing? We have access to Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime.

Hear that the Hulu show "Handmaidens Tale" is good, but don't have Hulu (yet).

You're the worst. That is our current binge and really like that one.

I've enjoyed Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee since its beginning. Now on NETFLIX, Each episode is only about 20 mins, always good for a laugh.

Not by choice, so don’t think we are one of those too good for TV people, but we don’t get to watch much. Aside from sports I have been doing Narcos on the treadmill. Good show and as an added bonus I’m learning to cuss in Spanish, so I’ve got that going for me.

Haunting of Hill House
Altered Carbon
Stranger Things
You
Better Call Saul(after done Breaking Bad)
The Punisher
Daredevil
The Grand Tour(Amazon)
The Path
Castle Rock

Some of my favorites

Just got done with Handmaids tale. -terrifying, a not all too unbelievable fiction. and, not for the squeamish.(a couple scenes made me physically angry or uncomfortable)

Binge-watching Brooklyn 9-9 right now. HILARIOUS. also, an excellent palate cleanser from the previous entry

Ozark.

Comedians in cars getting coffee is another go-to!

I watched "the fix" on Netflix. A hilarious concept of comedians solving real problems with satire.... it was hit or miss, but when it hit, it was hysterical.

I just finished The 100 a week or so ago, I’ve never heard of it before, but living in Italy now I watch Netflix and that’s about it. I thought it was good always kept me watching wondering how the next episode was going to play out.

I’m ready for the next season of Ozark?

My wife has been watching Manifest, it seems interesting as well, I’ve only seen parts of a few episodes.

Just discovered True Detective on HBO. First season was great

Bosch--just finished binge watching the first 4 seasons. Really excellent

Jack Ryan

Ozark

Mrs. Maisel-. You don't have to be Jewish to fully appreciate this but it doesn't hurt. Probably the funniest series I've ever seen. Great writing, great acting.

Shameless--won't be the same when Emmy Rossum leaves, but William H. Macy's character is just as cringe-worthy as ever.

Billions

Homeland--never get tired of it.

No one watches the Walking Dead followed by Talking Dead?

Mrs. Maisel (Excellant, waiting for next season), Ozark, True Detective, You. All good stuff!

I watch The Walking Dead/Talking dead but not as excited about it anymore.

True Detective season one great season 2 good season 3 great so far

Billions great as well

Funny that most of the cast isn't Jewish...they play it off well.

The guy that does Lenny Bruce is spot on. Take a look at the real life Steve Allen appearance. Really glad they are highlighting his character...comedy would not be where it is today without pioneers like him.

If you want to learn some more spanish cursing, then watch "La Casa de Papel" on Netflix its called "Money Heist". Best to watch in spanish audio with english subtitles.

I just started watching Narcos, but my Spanish speaking friends all suggest "El Patron de Mal". I watched 1 episode and it didn't draw me in like Narcos did.

The Man in the High Castle is great
Jack Ryan was good, but the script drove me crazy in some scenes. i.e. Jack Ryan discovers something at a meeting, he stares into space, you know that he discovered something, he interjects and defies everyone in the meeting. Those scenes made me cringe because it wasn't original.

On Amazon stick Sons of Anarchy Sopranos Breaking Bad Ozark great shows.

No one watches the Walking Dead followed by Talking Dead?

Its not the same show any more its gone so far from where it started that I think a lot of people have stopped watching. I still watch but there used to be about 10 or so friends and family I had who watched as well and none of them do any more. I have started watching West World its good but I really think they could have had a monster hit on their hands had they took more of a Tales from the Crypt or twighlight zone approach and made each episode a different guest experience in the park versus having an actual story line. I started watching the 100 a couple years back and kind of stopped but that was a good show I need to go back and finish watching another that I missed out on was The League I thought it was going be stupid but man that show was great.

West World
The 100
The League
Ready for final season of Game of Thrones

In order:

Dexter
Dexter
Dexter (it was that good)
Office Space on repeat
Breaking Bad
Game of Thrones
The Office
Sons of Anarchy
Walking Dead
Westworld
Sopranos
This is Us
Ozark
Homeland
Shameless
Brooklyn 9-9

The wife and I really like This Is Us too, but man, there are times where it's a tough show to power through. Emotionally, it's good AND bad, and sometimes it seems to drag, for lack of a better term. To me, it's draggy in a good way, with the time spent fleshing out the story line.

Just finished Series of Unfortunate Events with the kids. Well worth watching.
