Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
What tube do you guys pull? I have a 195 with the 300hp and we used a couch tube for 3 last year and with people in the boat it doesn't do the best. Thought about going to a two person...?
Most of the time if the boat is not doing it's best the tube is not aired up enough. I usually have to air it up, tube for a short while, pull it back in to air it back up and then it's usually good. The water is colder than the air so once you put it in the water it will lose pressure same as your car tires losing air pressure in the cold weather.
We pull an Airhead G-Force 3. They also make a 1-2 person, G-Force 2. Pulls well with our 195S. Kids love it. The tube is holding up well after a season and a half of use.
We've had this '17 version of this tube. It's been great to us. Secure enough for mom and toddler, exciting enough for the teens if you want it to be. Has a "chariot mode" where you pull it backwards and that seems to entertain quite a few people.
I also use a mege slice, I like having the riders laying down vs. sitting, I feel like if I throw them off they'll more than likely slide off vs being dumped over,
on a side note, both of the ones I have owned have changed from a flatter disk shape to more of a rounded front end, not sure if the seams in the bladder brake and it doesn't stay as flat,
I also have a chariot style for little kids that get scared on the water, it's an easier way to break them in to being behind the boat,
I started with a donut tube, won't ever get one of those again,
Solstice pizza slice. Great for two people, also nice just to lounge on…especially with the crust as a backrest. Fabric is soft to the touch and durable.
