2016 212SS Bad engine…..

Not a good day….. we had an accident last week, may have over heated one of the engines and it appears to be seized. Dropped it off at the dealership and was told that it could cost $15k to replace!!! Wondering if anyone else had to replace or rebuild a motor and what the cost was and if I should maybe find a engine repair shop to look at it? It has the 1.8 HO engines in it…… We could use some good advice!
