2022 Yamaha 212XE 24 hrs. on it. Second timeout this season and it keeps throwing a steering error take to dealer code. THe battery vlotage is 13.2V on both batteries and I cut the power to reset the system. It worked fine for about 10 minutes then shut down the port engine and same code appeared again and would not move the reverse bucket. I pulled it out to the water and reset the system again and both buckets moved and operated correctly. I had to reset the syetem 3 times before we got it out of the water safely. Bummer of a father's day..... It seems the the operation/mechanical parts work smoothly after reset but I am not sure what can cause this. Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated before I take an hour away to the dealer.

I don't know what the acceptable range is, but typically the system will show around 14V while the engine is operating. It may be completely unrelated, but you might want to check the battery voltage with no load. Even though the boat only has 24 hours on it, the battery is a couple of years old and could be having issues. These boats start to throw all sorts of errors when there are issues with the electrical system.

TommyMck-Thanks I will check them out again, I was staying between 13.2 and 14.1 all day. I did hook up an onboard battery charger incase we needed it. All connection were tight and good to go. I plan to remove it today and get back out on the water tomorrow. I will follow up. I did not think that would cause issue. Every other Yamaha I have had I hooked one up similarly without issue.
