Bought a 2011 242 Limited S last season with 250hrs on it and it has been running well with no problems or codes or anything i could think of. I had the boat surveyed and sea tested by a local trusted marine surveyor. I changed the oil and plugs at the end of last season and upon putting the batteries in at the beginning of this season i ran both motors on water for 10 minutes and everything looked and sounded ok with no codes. Today i was trying to clean the engine bay since the previous owner didn't keep it all that tidy and i spaying corrosion X when i noticed these cracks under both my port and starboard motor engine oil dipstick? Should i be really worried about this? Its kind of freaking me out.

A little hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like it is just a little tab on the block that is cracked? And that tab... holds the dipstick?

If that is so, I would not worry too much. But if the crack extends to the block itself... I would share your concern.
