One picture of your last outing.

My last outing was in a kayak this afternoon, to get out to my dock and survey the damage. This is what happens when the lake rises 3 1/2' above normal levels, and then some storms with heavy winds roll through. The dock floated up off several of the poles, then rotated about 90* and has been stable in that spot for about three weeks. Water has come down about 2' in the past two days. There was remarkably little damage to the dock. I think i'll be able to swing it back into position tomorrow and get the rest of the poles back in.

Don't forget to be careful if that Diquat "spills". Sure, it might be easier to move that dock without all the weeds, but just think of...how much easier it might be to move that dock without all the weeds

that's the crazy thing about Diquat...it's SO hard to carry across open water without spilling. No idea why.

Dock recovery and repositioning was a success. Almost no damage, dock is in the right spot and ready to go. Just need the water to come down another 1.5' and we can get lifts and boats in. The end of the ramp is actually still floating 15-18" above the rocks it normally rests on. And unfortunately, there are two rainstorms in the forecast the next few days.

that's the crazy thing about Diquat...it's SO hard to carry across open water without spilling. No idea why.

Waves. It's top heavy, and those caps are hard to seal. I wish you luck

Is there any way to stake out any lines to the end, to keep it from swinging back out? Or maybe moving a float under the gangplank to get it above any moving water?

it's fine now. got six poles in, firmly holding in the bottom sludge. The problem was the extreme rise in water level that floated it off the pipes. We're getting longer pipes, since extreme water levels are becoming more common. The rain we got all through this May was similar to past hurricane remnants, but without the hurricane.
