  • Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. Why I will never let my wife watch my tow rope again

It is the insidious nature of sucking something up that is dangerous. If the boat is in neutral or at least idle forward or reverse, the impellers are still spinning at idle speed and they only go in one direction whether your in forward or reverse. And the intake is always sucking if the engines are running. By insidious, I mean it happens very slowly, so you may not even notice until it is like wtf! And until some restriction causes enough pressure on the shaft to stop the motor, it just keeps on wrapping. And could pull you underwater if you got caught in the loop! You simply must not idle around people in the water with ropes in the water too. These are very safe boats, but a lack of understanding could certainly cause them to be less than safe. And our member knowledge base is here, to help you to understand and appreciate your boat, as well as to caution you about things you need to pay closer attention to. Have fun out there!
