Because your boat interior isn't as shaded as a car, truck or SUV, 20% film on your boat will appear like 35% on a car. 35% is the legal standard for side windows on a motor vehicle. Darker 20% is usually what you see on the rear glass. For safety reasons, 20% is about as dark as you should go.

20 on my boat. Considered limo, but wanted to be able to see through it easily. 20 looks good and can still see through while driving... 35 would be too light.

If you drive at night Limo or 20 will be dark to look thru. Have to look over the top. 35 seems too light in the daytime.

My boat has the dark factory tinted glass and I can't see thru it at all at night. But It's short so easy to look over.

The most important thing is get the Lifetime warranty film. The cheap stuff will turn purple and bubble up.
