Sunday (Oct 28) I put the SX210 to bed for the winter. The combination of this being a jet boat, and mild California winters, makes this easy. Not counting the trip to the gas station it took less than 1/2 hour.
- Filled the gas tank and added Sta-Bil to the gas tank
- Removed the carpets and life jackets
- Installed the anti-pooling poles
- Opened cushions so the contents of the storage compartments could dry
- Attached a small battery charger to the battery and ran the plug to the side of the boat. I'll plug the charger in two or three times over the non-boating season
- Put the boat heater (https://www.wholesalemarine.com/dav...XvsgOeS2y4UABXn4wGVVZ86s5Exaw2ShoCP_wQAvD_BwE) in and plugged it into AC.
- Covered the boat. The StormPro cover I use is 100% waterproof so the boat stays dry.
On warm days I usually start the engines and let them run for a minute perhaps twice over the winter.
One last thing of note. I just finished the third year of running the boat with the same iridium plugs. Unless they act up I'll leave them in for another year. I carry a full set of plugs on the boat just in case but the boat has been running like new since the beginning of 2016.
